“What is a life-limiting illness?”

A life-limiting illness is a serious illness that may lead to death. Some people choose to receive treatment for a life-limiting illness, and some do not. Hospice’s palliative care services can be helpful no matter what the treatment choice may be.

Unlike Medicare hospices, we are not restricted to the last six months of life nor do we require forgoing other treatments such as courses of chemotherapy or participation in clinical trials.

We are available to support you and your family from the day of diagnosis with hospice and palliative care.
