DESCRIPTION:Thank you to all who attended and supported our 2026 Summer Soirée! Despite rainy weather earlier in the day\, the evening turned out to be absolutely incredible. We are so grateful to our sponsors\, attendees\, donors\, program advertisers\, volunteers\, staff\, and everyone who made it such a beautiful and successful evening at Farm Neck. Because of your support\, this year’s event was a wonderful success\, raising a record-breaking over $325\,000 and counting. All proceeds from the Soirée will help Hospice & Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard continue to serve our Island community with quality hospice\, palliative and bereavement services. \nWe extend our deepest appreciation to our guest speaker Barbara Rush\, who was joined by her mother Elizabeth Huss\, for sharing her touching story of her experience with our services. We were also thrilled to share a first look at our new video\, “Don’t Wait\,” created by Circuit Films. \nA heartfelt thank you to our incredible auctioneer\, Ailie Byers\, who brought so much energy and warmth to the evening! SUMMARY:32nd Annual Martha's Vineyard Memorial 5K Road Race
DESCRIPTION:Join Hospice & Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard for our Annual Memorial 5K Road Race and Kids’ Fun Run\, which takes place on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend each year in Oak Bluffs. Our race draws around 400 runners who walk or run our beautiful race course around West Chop. Runners can register online starting two months before the race\, and in-person at Summercamp Hotel the Saturday before and the morning of the race. T-shirts are provided to runners on a first-come\, first-served basis\, with selected sizes set aside for those who pre-register online. Open to participants of all ages and abilities\, the race combines a spirit of remembrance with the energy of a community coming together for good. Proceeds support hospice\, palliative\, and bereavement services\, ensuring that no one on Martha’s Vineyard faces serious illness or grief alone. The kids’ fun run starts at 9:30 AM\, and the 5K starts at 10 AM. $30 to pre-register\, $35 for day-of sign-up.
