We are grateful when families suggest gifts to Hospice & Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard in lieu of flowers. Including our donation link in an online obituary makes giving simple and accessible.

Matching Gifts
Many employers will match charitable contributions made by their employees, retirees, or spouses. A matching gift can double—or even triple—the impact of your donation at no additional cost to you.
Find out if your employer offers matching gifts by inquiring directly with your HR department or checking on charitynavigator.org.
Your HR team will guide you on the necessary steps, forms, and submission deadlines for matching gift requests.
Matching gifts will then be sent directly to HPCMV via check or ACH deposit from your company’s matching gift fund partner.
Monthly Giving
Becoming a monthly donor provides reliable, ongoing support that helps HPCMV plan ahead and respond to patient and family needs throughout the year. When you donate online, you can select “Make it a Recurring Gift” and choose the frequency.
Planned Giving
Planned gifts allow you to support HPCMV while also meeting your long-term financial and estate planning goals. Options may include bequests through a will or trust, beneficiary designations, or other legacy gifts. Planned giving helps ensure compassionate care for future generations. If you are interested in naming Hospice & Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard in your will or making another type of planned gift, please discuss it with your estate attorney to draft a charitable bequest. Your estate planner can help you decide how to designate your planned gift. Options include:
- Specific Bequest: A set amount of money or specific assets such as stock or property.
- Percentage Bequest: A percentage of your total estate.
- Residuary Bequest: A gift of all or part of the remainder of your estate after other beneficiaries are paid specific amounts.
- Contingent Bequest: A gift designated to charity only if other beneficiaries pass away before you.
