Vineyard Gazette: Helping Kids Move Forward at Grief Camp

Hospice & Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard will host Camp by the Sea this month, a one-day grief camp to give children a space to process loss. The camp takes place Saturday, Oct. 19 at Slough Farm in Edgartown. According to grief camp counselors Jill Demeny and Amanda Zoref, Hospice & Palliative Care of Martha’s Vineyard ran a grief group last year at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School last year. This year, the organization has reached out to schools across the Island in preparation for its first grief camp.
